Gearldine "Gerri" Coats

COLEMAN - Gearldine "Gerri" Coats, 77, died Sunday, Feb. 25, 2001, at her home. Services will be 10 A.M. Wednesday [28 Feb 2001] at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Paul Smith officiating assisted by D.G. Allen. Burial will be in Midway Cemetery, directed by Stevens Funeral Home.

Mrs. Coats was born in Norton [Runnels Co, TEXAS], and married Leroy Coats in Ballinger [Runnels Co, TEXAS]. He preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and a member of the Novice Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Ellen Jo Johnson of Novice; a son, Troy Coats of Abilene; two sisters, Lou Dale Shields of Aztec, NM and Geneva Tekell of Tohoka; two brothers, Wilmer Richards of Snyder and Paul Richards of Comanche; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 6-7:30 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.

COLEMAN – Gearldine “Gerri” Coats, the sister of Wilmer Richards of Snyder, died Sunday, Feb. 25, at her home in Coleman.

Funeral service for Mrs. Coats, 77, is set for 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Stevens Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Paul Smith, assisted by D.G. Allen, will officiate. Burial will follow in the Midway Cemetery.

Born in Norton, she married Leroy Coats in Ballinger and he preceded her in death. Mrs. Coats was a homemaker and a member of the Novice Baptist Church.
